Hackamore Bridle – Brown | No. 05
Bridle No. 05 is a classic hackamore bridle — designed for bitless riding while ensuring the cheek pieces never sit too close to the horse's eye. The jaw strap keeps the cheek pieces securely in position, while the nose piece adjusts at multiple points for a precise and optimal fit. Compatible with our modular bridle system, it allows you to easily switch between riding with or without a bit. Each component can be customised to suit your needs.

This bridle, featuring its beautifully designed noseband, is developed with a strong focus on balance, stability, and comfort, where every component works together to reduce unnecessary pressure. The construction is not based on fixation, but on thoughtful fit and clear lines of tension that allow the bridle to remain stable without creating static pressure.
A Balanced Headpiece — The OCTA Concept
The dressage horse's neck is long and highly mobile, playing a decisive role in balance, suppleness, and carrying power. For this reason, the construction of the headpiece is central to how the entire bridle functions during work.
Our headpieces are developed with mechanical symmetry and stability in mind, without locking the neck or creating static pressure that could interfere with the horse's natural movement patterns. Through fixed, centrally positioned attachments that cannot move, the micro-rotation that typically occurs when buckles slide or adjust during work is eliminated. As a result, the load from the bit and noseband is distributed evenly across the poll, rather than being influenced by loose buckles for the cheekpieces and noseband that shift laterally.
Anatomical Design for the Headpiece
The headpieces are shaped to allow full freedom for the crest of the neck. The recessed channel in the headpiece provides space for the natural micro-movements of the neck and atlas (C1), without compromising the stability of the bridle. For the competition horse — where even minor pressure inconsistencies can quickly affect suppleness, straightness, and carrying ability — this results in a headpiece that:
- Remains stable without fixation
- Distributes pressure symmetrically to the left and right
- Respects the anatomy of the neck and the natural movement of the mane
Designed to Protect the Inside of the Cheek — The OCTA Concept
This English noseband is designed with particular emphasis on comfort and protection on the inside of the cheek. The shaped padding intentionally creates space between the noseband and the horse's soft tissue, reducing the risk of pressure, pinching, and sores — issues that commonly occur when the noseband puts pressure on the cheeks.
By allowing the padding to follow the natural contours of the horse's nose rather than pressing directly inward, the horse experiences improved comfort even during longer riding sessions. The result is a noseband that remains stable without causing unnecessary discomfort in a sensitive area.
The removable flash strap allows the noseband to be adapted to individual needs and also makes it possible to convert the bridle into a double bridle, without compromising the noseband's core function or fit.
This is a functional and thoughtfully designed noseband for riders who want to prevent sores and pinching, and who prioritise the horse's well-being down to the smallest details.
