Mexican Noseband (Black) | No. 96

Noseband No. 96 is a classic pulley noseband — also known as a Mexican noseband — reimagined with a modern approach to comfort and function. The nose plate has been extended and given a soft "broken" shape for increased comfort. The longer nose plate distributes pressure over a wider surface area and moves it outward toward the sides, creating a clearer but simultaneously softer influence. The noseband is padded throughout and sits softly over the cheekbones without rubbing. It extends far enough back along the side to stay well clear of the horse's eye. The strap beneath the bit is convex, resting softly around the bit without pushing it upward into the mouth. When correctly positioned and fastened loosely, this is one of the mildest nosebands available. Correct fitting is therefore essential. Each component can be customised to suit your needs.
